There are approximately 100 million native French speakers in the world today and another 190 million people who speak French as second language. In fact, French is the second most studied foreign language globally, after English! This is not as surprising as it would seem, when one considers that French is widely spoken in over 40 countries across 4 continents. You will hear the language spoken in such far-flung places as the ski slopes of Quebec, the souks of Marrakesh and on the cruise boats of Ha Long Bay.
You don’t have travel far to come across the French language though. There are lots of French companies based in the UAE, particularly in Dubai. Furthermore, the MENA region is a popular holiday destination among French tourists. If you live and work in the UAE, you will probably come across French speaking visitors, customers or colleagues at some point, and a basic knowledge of the French language will enable you to communicate effectively with them.
At our language school in Dubai, we offer a range of French courses suitable for students of all ages and language proficiency.
